Everything we go through is to teach us something. That something can be many things to many people. For some it takes an entire lifetime to learn the lesson. For others, it may take multiple lifetimes.

For me, the end result of everything I go through is to learn to do two things
1. Go to my breath
2. Go to love

In the moment, when something happens, if I can avoid allowing my mind to go into its default reaction and instead take a deep breath of love, to me that usually results in the beginning of the turnaround.

Some things we go through are temporary such as a fleeting thought or comment. Some things we need to handle or deal with.

Regardless of what it is, by taking a deep breath and feeling love and gratitude, that fleeting moment, even where the mind took over for a second, can be transformed and brought back to our true essence of calm, love and gratitude.

Try it today. When something comes up that bothers you, take a deep breath and focus on the feeling of gratitude and love. Even if you don’t feel it right away, keep doing it until you feel it. With practice you’ll train your body to have a new response.

And once you programmed in this new response, you will find the problems you used to have, you will no longer have. And then realize the lesson, all along was simply to breath in gratitude and love.
