Focus in helping others

 

In our mind one of the biggest things that cause suffering is if we’re focused on us, what is going on with me, what did this person do to me? What do I feel? One way to get out of that is to focus on others. How can I help others in this situation? What are they looking for?

What do they need? What gifts and talents do I have that can help someone else. There’s someone I knew recently and they were kind of going through like a depression, they were at home, they weren’t working at all. But once they picked up a job where they were helping and taking care of other people, the depression went away right away. They didn’t need the medication anymore.

They didn’t need to like do anything else. They simply focus from not using their talents and focus on themselves to how can I help others and focusing that energy on how they can help others. And we’ll do amazing things for others, even more than we’ll do for ourselves. So if you feel stuck fine, how can I help others in this moment it’s going to get you out of yourself and get you into a state of service and gratitude.
