I’ll Do It Later Myth
If I ever find myself saying I’ll Do It Later, what that usually has meant was I’ll do it never. I’ll Do It Later is typically a distraction where oh, there’s something I know I want to do that’s maybe from a higher purpose, my greater good it’s going to help the world or help something at a higher level.
And the thought comes, I’ll Do It Later. I’ll figure it out next year. I’ll do it next month. I’ll Do This Later. What that is is a distraction. I’m giving in to the distraction because if I really start to look at all the times I said I’ll do it later and see how many times did I actually do it later? Most of the time.
It was, I’ll do it never kind of thing until it keeps coming back months sometimes years later. So if we catch ourselves doing that, pay attention to why we’re doing that. Hey, this must maybe something for my soul. And this may be my mind distracting myself from going into my soul.
So be aware, and that could be for anything like a trip we want to make, a business we want to start, a thing we want to pursue whatever. Catch ourselves if we’re saying I’ll Do It Later and bring it back to the now and plan a time to do it now.
